A Hand Up Resources & Community Outreach equips youth, families, and community leaders with lifesaving skills, prevention education, practical resources, and pathways to opportunity.

Through CPR/First Aid/AED certification, overdose-response education, youth empowerment, senior and veteran wellness initiatives, and community partnerships, we help people prepare before a crisis and move forward with confidence.

The Founder’s Story

Michelle Williams – Founder & President

Michelle Williams is the Founder and President of A Hand Up Resources & Community Outreach, an organization dedicated to empowering youth, families, and community leaders through lifesaving training, prevention education, practical resources, and pathways to opportunity.

After losing her brother, Kevin Jemison, to the opioid crisis, Michelle turned personal loss into purpose by creating programs that equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to recognize risks, respond to emergencies, and support one another. Under Michelle’s leadership, A Hand Up provides CPR and AED training, harm-reduction and overdose-response education, youth empowerment initiatives, and community safety programs that help people prepare before a crisis and respond when seconds matter.

Her work focuses on empowering underserved communities through education, collaboration, and access to practical resources. Michelle believes that when people are given knowledge, purpose, and opportunity, they can become powerful agents of change.

Through relationships with schools, local organizations, businesses, community leaders, and other partners, she is working to expand access to lifesaving education, prevention resources, youth empowerment, and community safety initiatives across the communities A Hand Up serves.
